Chalk Art

Jan creates all of her pieces using soft chalk pastels, tempera paint, or acrylics on vinyl. The use of pastels allows for rich and vibrant colors and a high level of detail. Chalk pastels are not permanent and are eventually power-washed off of the surface. Tempera allows for more durable designs that can withstand some foot traffic, and vinyl allows for the most flexibility and durability.
